16 November 2009 Getting around Curacao
Curacao is senior citizens heaven. Every day there are free buses to three supermarkets in rotation and next to t he supermarkets are the chandlers, car parts for oil, filters and fan belts and Homebase type warehouses. Today being sunday we had the Zeelandia supermarket bus pick up at 9am and across the road from Zeelandia is a large DIY store and around the corner a home wares warehouse. David was in heaven browsing spanners and gadgets. I was happy to find new water glasses, hopefully hardier then the ones we got in Puerto Rico which need to be replaced. The supermarket was a treat too. After 2 months search we finally found sugar free muesli just like we used to get at home :) We bought one bag to try and it was so good we'll be going back next Sunday for all they have on the shelf to go into our ship's stores. Jackster is a floating food depot. However, ginger biscuits continue to elude us.
