Todays picture is view from the cockpit looking north. A special day and special treats started with David bringing me breakfast in bed. Means only one thing; it must be my birthday. Another year older, wiser and happier. Yesterday I had a lovely chat with my Mum and Dad on Skype and then Chris and Peter at home in Jaywick. Today we went to the supermarket and filled the basket with those lovely things you want but don't need like smoked salmon, fillet steak, mushrooms (a luxury in the Carri bean), a special bottle of wine, some blue camembert and white magnums. We'd thought about going out for a meal and decided we could have a better meal at our own sea view restaurant.
I had a self indulgent afternoon stretched out in the cockpit and reading and our smoked salmon as we watched the sun setting before firing up the barbecue and tucking into the best steak we've had since St Thomas in April.
