20 Jan 2009 The window opens

At last we have the settled weather we need to cross the 150 miles to Puerto Rico.  A very early start at 2am, or is that a late start the day before?  All clear and still with the stars shining.  Still anxious about the engine, straining to hear every little nuance.  Is that normal?  What was that? It was me closing a cupboard door.  Not that we've become paranoid.

A fine day and then as we approach the shores of Puerto Rico a change to more unsettled and bigger waves.  It either abates through the night or we become used to the action and joyfully discover (as we had expected to) that Jackster will take care of us.  She is a strong and well-found lady, safe and secure.
