Today was devoted to further sourcing of goodies for Jackster; parts and repair of the raw water pump that failed on passage, more LED lights to try, the chandlers for placement rope, the sail maker to enquire about a new headsail. All it really takes to fix any problem on a boat is the universal tool; the universal tool is flat plastic, 2” x 3” and has the word Visa printed on it. Two more essential items are a capable engineer (David) and his beautiful assistant (me) to take out the old and fit the new bit.
After dinner we got together with many of the other boats in the marina for drinks at the yacht club. All very civilised and a very friendly yacht club.
