Wednesday 6 July Diving Nananuca Reef

Yesterday afternoon a local dive boat came past to say hello and ask if we wanted to go diving. Of course we want to dive and have our own gear. Generously the guide offered to let us follow him tomorrow morning out to a dive site.
Frank from Tahina picked up David, Andrew and me from our boat and we got directions from the dive boat to head out through the pass and out to where another dive boat was anchored. As it turned out it was a long, bouncy way but well worth it for a dive through canyons, swim throughs and lots of good coral. An excellent dive. The ride back was into the wind and very bouncy.

Beautiful corals
That afternoon the Stray Kitties issued a challenge for competitive boules on the beach which we all went to play. An unusual hazard on the beach course was a friendly mare and her foal who interrupted play and then tried to eat the yellow balls! They were persuaded to swap balls for grass and play continued. Andrew and Andrea were the victors as first pair to reach 11 points.
