Thursday 5 January Scallops and walking

With CD's dinghy motor out of commission David and I went scalloping on our own this morning. It's quite peaceful sitting in the dinghy watching the other boat go by, occasionally turning on the engine to keep closer to my diver or to get between him and an approaching boat. We had plenty so took some over to CD on the way back to Jackster.

A leisurely lunch was followed by scallops cleaning accompanied by favourite songs from the MP3 player and then a even more leisurely read and snooze in the sun. We managed to shake a leg later and went for a walk with Chris and Dave from the beach and up to the headland. I like Urupukapuka. It's pretty and peaceful. Tomorrow we have to return to Russell to be ready for the Tall Ship race on Saturday.
