12 June Getting in the groove

It's our second week anchored in Prickly Bay and we're getting into the groove of life in the local sailing community. We begin the day listening to the Net on Ch66. We listen to the weather forecast, cruiser organised events, the shopping bus schedule and events happening around the area at the various marinas and bars. Each day there seems to be something to do from jam sessions on Hog island, Texas Hold 'em, live music somewhere every night, boat part jumbles and Tuesday Trivia Quiz night at Prickly.

On this particular Tuesday we were at Prickly having dinner with Ingrid and Fred from Gizmo and decided it would be fun to stay for the quiz. It proved a winner. We went home with first prize – a magnum of French Rose which we took to Gizmo when we went over for dinner on board next night.

  1. Enjoy hearing that you are still out there living the life! We were doing some work on Libertad - finally got a new engine - during COVID. Now finishing up some cosmetic stuff just in time for the busy cruising season here on west coast in California.

  2. Great to hear from you, as always. We're interested to know what did you choose as a replacement? Hope you have a fun season out on the water. Here there are less boats than a normal season so more room for those of us who are here.
