22 November Les Saintes and kismet

It's only 20nm between the moorings in Prince Rupert Bay and the moorings at Ils Cabrits, Guadeloupe. We leave after breakfast and arrive in time for lunch and there's a bonus today. Not only are 8 of the 10 balls available (a rarity in this popular location) but one of the boats already there is our friends Nigel and Jo Snow on Wychcraft. It's kismet. They arrived from Curacao this morning. The last time we saw them was right here six months ago.

They have guests on board and we all meet in town for pre dinner drinks and then we head off to our favourite restaurant, Ti Kaz La, for a 'we're back' celebration dinner. But the ownership has changed over the summer and it's not quite the same. Still very good cooking, just a little disappointed.
