We are supposed to leave the marina in Pointe-a-Pitre at midday today. David has fitted the newly serviced fuel injectors on the engine and all is well there. Yesterday he fitted the water pump on the genset, but there's no water flow so we don't have a working generator despite his tireless efforts to fix it. We need to stay hooked up to shore power while we find a solution. Luckily the marina is only a quarter full and we're able to extend our stay, either to be able to sort the problem or order a new pump.
There is no fix so David orders a new, not inexpensive (it's an Onan generator) Oberdorfer pump from Florida which should be delivered to the marina next week.
