The adventures and misadventures of Jacqui and David aboard Jackster; our mission to sail the world visiting as many places as possible

22 March 2009 Whoops!
Pat & Alex on R'Pelican arrived and dropped anchor next to us and we admired their new dinghy. Alex wanted to re-anchor to get a better spot and on the way around his outboard motor and dinghy parted company. That's how these little things happen – when you least expect them to. When he was settled in his new spot we took our snorkel gear over, picked him up and went back over the spot in the hope of finding it and doing some salvage. Problem was there was a lot of sand and dirt in the water so impossible to see 9m to the sea bed. After this we have formed a belt-and-braces approach to securing the outboard in the hope that we never have to do our own salvage.
