25 March 2009 Back to USVIs once more

We left Pat & Alex who were hauling out Pelican in Spanish Town for the summer before flying home and set off back to St Thomas. It's not far between the islands and one of the best deals on diesel in the region is found in Charlotte Amalie which made it worth going back. On the way back we overnighted at one of the prettiest and most secluded bays we've been to, Lameshur on the south coast of St Johns. So peaceful and the only man made lights we could see that night were from the other yachts around us.

Next morning we hooked on to a dive buoy and did a cheeky wall dive. Took our lobster tickling stick in case we found one. Not a Ken Dodd tickling stick but a 3' length with a hook on the end that use tease the lobster with to entice him out of his hole and then hook 'im with the spikey bit. It was easy to carry and never deployed.

Due to a brisk following wind we made over 9 knots and were back in CA on exactly the same spot as before in plenty of time for a sundowner G&T
