Still in Simpson Bay, St Martin while we work on the electronics' upgrade and finish several other projects we didn't have time to do before we left Florida in November.
St Martin is one of the best places in the Caribbean to do any work on your boat. It's a major centre for the super yachts, has duty free status and two competing chandleries within 5 minutes walk of each other. For me there are excellent shopping opportunities. Imagine my joy at finding a boulangerie with proper French baguettes and the most heavenly croissants, supermarkets that sold cheese that looked like cheese not orange rubber and with flavour, pates and wine at very affordable prices, clothes shops that sold clothes I wanted to buy.
