15 December 2009 Preparing to leave Curacao for Colombia

Departure is getting closer.  That is if the anchor hasn't set into the seabed after being in Spanish Water for 4 weeks and the forecast for good weather isn't rescinded tomorrow.

We shared a 5 seater hire car, packed in 7 bodies and roared off to Willemstad to clear out of customs and immigration.   Getting 7 adults into one Hyundai Matrix is easy - 2 in the front, 3 in the back and 2 on cushions in the boot.  The boot's open like an estate car so no lid closed down.
Tomorrow we have an early start to be at the Xerox shop at 8am to get photo copies of sea charts for the Panama coast and beyond then back to the boats, up anchor and onto Santa Cruz bay on the NW of the Curacao for one night before kicking off for Colombia on Thursday night.
Next blog should be posted in our 21st visited country. On the 3 & 1/2 day passage I intend to revise my basic Spanish.
Buenos dias
