The adventures and misadventures of Jacqui and David aboard Jackster; our mission to sail the world visiting as many places as possible

Tuesday 17 August Goodbye Beveridge, hello Niue
Beveridge Reef is a jewel in the ocean. The water is crystal clear and pure turquoise over the white sand. It was hard to visual we'd been sitting on top of a mountain in the middle of the Pacific. There are other reefs like Beveridge though I'm not sure how many offer an easy access onto their plateaus. We'd had to catch up on boat jobs and to catch up with this blog, done some snorkelling. Snorkelling was OK, some fish, lots of dead coral and plenty of current from the waves washing in over the reef. The weather forecast indicated I was a good time to set sail for Niue (pronounced New-way) one day's sail away.
