Friday 22 July Diving, walking and a new bride
Back in the water for a dive this morning. We'd been told about a dive site on a submerged pinnacle just a couple of miles out. Seven of us went; Karen and Frank from Tahina who gave us a lift in their large rib, and Eric, Anne and Bear from Oso Blanco. We found the mooring ball, tied onto it and descended 9m to the top of the small pinnacle. Then we dropped down to the bottom and a swim through, out to out lying small bommies where we found a 2' puffer lying on the sand, an octopus, sweet lips and then back to the pinnacle swimming around it gradually ascending. I spotted one of my favourites – a long nose hawk fish – the first I've seen here. There were lots and lots of fish including many anemones and clown fish on the top making it an excellent dive.
In the afternoon we went for a walk around the island with Chris and Christine and got a glimpse of the new bride – the one who was rude to us on Monday evening at the barbecue. All I can say is there were a lot of meters of fabric in her dress. Check it out.
