Our hosts had enjoyed entertaining us last night and offered another evening of cava, music and dancing. This time the venue was the young men's encampment slightly outside the proper village and therefore no need for the village elder to preside. As last night, we began with the passing on the cava (this is a mild mix with almost no effect apart from a temporary tingle of the lips), then the band struck up and we had cruisers inviting villagers to dance and villagers inviting the cruisers. This evening it was the cruisers who brought the food to share; pizza, popcorn, brownies, bread and butter washed down with more of the lemon tea we'd had last night.
Before we'd gone in for the dancing we'd had a visit from the young men from the village. I think they had originally targetted the bigger Oso Blanco but seeing Eric's Boston Whaler tied behind our boat detoured to Jackster. We invited them on board as they are naturally curious about these strange yachts and the things they have on board; one comment was 'it's like a real house'.
Next morning neither David nor I could find our sunglasses. They're usually in the cockpit next to the companionway but despite our searching not found. Very sadly there's only one conclusion, one of our guests yesterday afternoon must have 'borrowed' them. What a shame as this has coloured our overall view of their visit to us and ours to the village.
