Saturday 6 August Curried divers

One more dive at the Split Rock site this morning. Today we were joined by Steve (Dignity) and their guests, John and Anne, and Stuart (Imagine) with John from Sea Mist. Fortunately the wind had changed direction and the sea state was much calmer to reach the site.
This change in wind direction is the first sign of bad weather on the way and therefore our last dive at Ono; it's been good, some of the best diving we've enjoyed in Fiji so far. Tomorrow we'll head down to Kadavu.
It turned out to be our last night with Oso Blanco too; they are returning to Port Denerau to replace house batteries that have failed. For our last celebration and to thank Eric and Annie for their generosity giving us a ride to dive sites, we invited them over for a traditional English feast – an Indian curry. With rogan josh, masala chana and poppadoms with chutney all we were missing for true authenticity was flock wallpaper and a sitar sound track.
