Saturday 15 March Diary of a lift out T-3

It was a long day which started at dawn, sailing and then motoring when the wind died, to reach a sheltered anchorage in south Penang. It was an R day too; the first rain we've seen for three months. It rolled off Penang and hit us with gusting wind, thunder and lightning across the mainland and frothy seas. The irony is we washed the decks with seawater yesterday to rid us of the dust of Kuah town. The coincidence is the last time we saw rain was when we were in Penang! Obviously north of Penang is dry, south and it rains.
