Sunday 16 March Diary of a lift out T-2

Another long day which started just before dawn. We've got 65 miles to cover to arrive in Pangkor marina around 6pm (or an hour and a half before sunset). Very little wind so we were motoring once more but the south setting current kept getting stronger as the day progressed until we had a lift of over 1 ½ knots.
Five miles north of Pangkor and the rain started and it kept raining as we came into the marina, while we were adjusting mooring lines and still raining when we walked in to the nearby town for dinner.
Rain is not your friend when applying anti foul. Dry weather is what we need. Have we been unfortunate to arrive at the start of a long rainy spell?
Air conditioning is my cool best friend and being hooked up to shore power means we can run them all night instead of only when the generator is running. David replaced the faulty water pump in our bedroom unit as we were sailing here yesterday. It's been broken for three months and the new one arrived from the US to Langkawi a few days ago.
