It
was hard to wake up at midnight, dress and climb down the ladder but
applying second coat took less than 30 minutes with David do the
rollering and me holding the spotlight, By 12.30am we were back in
bed.
I
was still asleep at 8 o'clock when David appeared with a morning cup
of tea to tell me he'd got out of bed pre-dawn (kindly without waking
me) and gone down to put on the third coat and to roll on any paint
left over on the vulnerable parts of the hull.
After
a leisurely indulgent breakfast I took the ferry across to Pangkor
Island to buy fresh fruit and vegetables. Isn't it odd that to buy
fresh produce it is easier, quicker and cheaper to take a ferry to an
island than it is to go to a mainland shop?

As
promised, at 2pm Ade came with is remote control box and navigated us
back into the water. Final jobs of t he day were to wash the dust
and dirt of the boatyard off the decks, clear away the tools we'd had
out and prepare for departure tomorrow.
