Kudat
is a great place to have a bike. We're med moored (anchor down and
reverse to tie the stern to a wall) in the man made 'harbour' next to
the golf course and hotel and it would be a long walk in to town
whereas on a bicycle it's a breeze. On the first day we found a
newly opened Chinese restaurant, the Hainanese Kitchen, modern,
bright and simply delicious fare and have been in each day to try a
new dish.
It
was also an excuse to explore the multitude of little shops with each
one selling a different eclectic mix; beads, buttons and ribbons next
to wheel barrows, or small food items and bicycles. However, one
dedicated only to electrics did have a replacement switch for our
anchor windlass. In the most unlikely places look and you can find
the most unlikely things.
