Thursday 25 September Climb every mountain

Each visitor has to discover their own Wayag.
Karst limestone islands
There are no guide and no cruising guides – hop in the dinghy and look around each corner to check out the vistas, climb the highest point for panoramic views.  With Robert and Tess from Emma Peel who've been here before leading the way we scrambled up a path through the trees for magnificent views over the island.  Wayag isn't a small island and we could see most of it from here.   Rober
Floating in paradise
t is an Austrian and  a practised climber.  He walked both up and down the mini mountain with his son on his shoulders and did it faster than I could carrying nothing.
On the top I picked my way through the jagged limestone rock, a slip could give you a nasty injury, to take photos.  The same views which are printed in all the tourist literature for Raja Ampat. It's that photogenic. The day was hot but a brisk breeze kept us cool.  Back at sea level and on the beach the water was so invitingly blue it would have been rude not to swim.
