been two months since my last update...How lazy? How tardy is that?
Very. For my penance I'll (try) to be brief.
When we arrived in Labuan we were in need of a number of components which had received damage from a near electrical strike when we were in the Philippines and Labuan offered a friendly marina, duty free status and a pleasant place to await deliveries. I took advantage of the time to pop back to England to visit family and friends. David and Polly stayed aboard and took care of each other, ie Polly handing wrenches and spanners from the tool box as David fitted the new parts. Not. She slept while he worked.
When I returned from my three week holiday with a bag full of boat goodies, Jackster had had a new battery charger, SSB smart tuner, VHF radio, etc fitted and I'd learned I require a new hip to be fitted. My hip pain has been increasing over the last three years and a visit to my GP and then specialist confirmed what I'd suspected – osteoarthritis with the cartilage worn away. With the full crew on board we could leave for Brunei.
