23 March Port Royal, Roatan

There has been no wind since we arrived in the Bay islands and there is none forecast for at least the next five days.  The sea is glassy smooth and motoring is the order of the day to move 25 miles from Guanaja to Port Royal on Roatan.  The benefit of motoring was that we could run the water maker while in clean ocean water.

Port Royal is big.  It was once home to 5,000 pirates and their ships.  Today it is much quieter and a relaxing place to spend an afternoon and a night sharing the bay with two other yachts and no bugs.
We took a run in the dinghy through a man made channel in to the next bay and took Polly for a sunset ride.
