12 April Ranguana Cay, Belize

A quick overnight trip from Utila we crossed the fringing reef through the wide Ranguana pass, turned right half a mile later and picked up one of three mooring balls in the shelter of Ranguana island. Approaching the pass we caught a trevally, through the pass and we were joined by a pod of dolphins. Welcome to Belize.
After bacon butties for breakfast we dinghied in to the island where we could see buildings and sun loungers on the beach. It's only a small place covered with many palm trees. There are a few cabins for visitors, a bar and meals available. It also has WiFi. In exchange for our $20 fee for the mooring ball we were given the code. Back on Jackster with the WiFi booster aerial we got a signal strong enough to stream YouTube.
Meanwhile back on the island we went snorkelling around the reef on the seaward side. OK and a few fish. But there are lots of pelicans and frigates around.
