The advancing tropical storm is gaining momentum. AccuWeather issued a sever weather advisory with the forecast path passing north of Bequia between St Lucia and St Vincent on Monday, four days from now, and winds here could reach 35 knots. By Tuesday when it passes Puerto Rico it could be a hurricane.
We re-anchor further inside the bay to have more protection when it but I am concerned. As it passes Bequia the wind direction will shift from south, good protection, to west, bad for swell coming into the bay, and then to NE, good, as the storm passes to the west.
Many boats have pulled anchor and left, but do you go north or south? There's lots of uncertainty. However, I'm aware that the sea temperatures are above average. That's not good news.
