21 January Anchored out at Ilet Cabrit

When we arrived in Iles Cabrits two days ago all the moorings were occupied and six boats anchored. We dropped our hook in 20m and held well in more than 20 knots of wind.

The next morning a ball became available and we were able to move in and find better wind protection in the lee of the island. The ball next to then freed up and the catamaran that had dragged close past us in Le Gosier took it. We said hello and asked what had happened when he came back and found his boat a long way from where he left it. He had no idea that he'd almost hit us, but apologised profusely and generously offered a bottle of wine to the Jackster anxiety fund.
