The last two days have been exhausting mentally and physically. On top of doing the crossing we and our crew went out for dinner with our South African friends from The Road (Shirley, Taffy, Colin and Rubbish their African grey parrot although he ate at home in his cage) and NZ friends Kerry and Andrew from Marioposa. We've known these two boats since Curacao in November.
It hadn't been a late night but it still felt early as Chris & Dave and Karen & Mike got up just after 7am. We had breakfast and more tea then dropped then off at the marina for them to catch a taxi back to the marina on the Atlantic side where they'd left their boats.
David and I wished our friends a cheery goodbye not knowing when we'll see them again. Chrisandaver Dream and Chapter 2 are heading north up the west side of the Caribbean. Chapter 2 may come through the Canal next year. We hope to keep in touch with their adventures through the power of the internet.
