It took all morning to stash our new purchases. I don't know how, but we got another 48 tins, 7 slabs of beer , 8 cases of tonic water, 30 boxes of wine under the floor. Our policy is to keep all heavy things as low as possible within the boat. With the extra tonne of provisions we've added to the gross tonnage, low down in the bilges equals better motion through the water. If I stored the baked beans too high and we were caught by a side wave it could have been beans all over. A teabag or 1200 should have less impact.
It's our friend Jackie from Inspiration Lady's 60th birthday tomorrow and we all (IL, Anthem, Bristol Rose and Jackster) went for a meal at the local restaurant to celebrate. We like celebrating, a chance to put on a dress (not for David) and spend an evening with our friends and drink chilled sangria that I found was more potent than it tasted when I stood up.
