We'd read there was good diving in the area and the clear water and prevalence of caves in the cliff faces suggested it should be interesting. Our friends, brothers Brian and Brady of Delos, suggested we try a dive where we'd seen a dive boat the day before. Always ready to get wet we loaded the kit into the dinghy and were soon at the site, a wall under a cliff face. The tricky part is finding a way to secure the dinghies while we dive. Brady took the anchor down and hooked it under a ledge so they;d be there when we came back. There wasn't a lot to see on the wall, some corals, a few fish, on the sand floor below a sleeping white tip shark, but as we came up we found a cave cutting under the cliff, a big cave with another shark, this time a pregnant female white tip asleep in the rear. We returned to our waiting dinghies happy divers after another dip under the waves.

After lunch we had a swift 5 mile sail over to anchorage no.16 in the Moorings Charter guide, or Nua Papu island where we found a vacant mooring ball to pick up. Once behind the protection of the island the wind dropped and it was hot, hot, hot. Plenty of old friends here to great us, Anthem, Chamaya, Emily Grace and Wonderland.
