We
arrived at Cayo Lenas a few miles to the north of Los Morros mid
morning and motored through glassy seas into the Canal los Barcos a
secure and protected anchorage amongst mangroves. It was just as
Navionics showed on the chart plotter and plenty of depth. Waiting
inside were our friends, Linda and Chris on Mon Ark who had arrived a
day earlier having taken the shallower inside the reef route from
Cayo Levisa.
Because
we had bread to give to them and they had lobster for us, because
both boats had dinghies stored for passage, because we were only
staying here until dusk and because there was no wind we rafted up to
them. Polly immediately jumped ship to explore a new boat. She's a
cheeky cat.
Then
at 4 o'clock we let go the lines and headed off to the Cape.
We
rafted together in 4m of water at 21.55.20N 84.49.31W.
