It had been our intention to depart yesterday, but listening to the local weather and wave report convinced us one more day in port would be a good thing. After the storm the seas were still 3 to 4m. The forecast was also good to leave today when the waves would be down to 2m so that's what we did.
This morning we took a final look at the forecast, checked the boat and then I went and checked us out, destination Antigua 960nm south.
Going out through Town Cut in daylight was a pleasure. It feels good to be on our way and we're very pleased we took the decision to visit Bermuda. For a small island it has a lot to offer including some of the friendliest people we've met.
I'd like to say we'd be back, but in the cruising life you never know. The next adventure awaits us in the warmer Caribbean.
