the harbour at St John's |
Currently there are two Customs and Immigration offices open to clear out. We opted to go to St John's on the east coast (the other option is English Harbour).
Yesterday morning we received our negative PCR test results from the hospital which enabled me through SeaClear.com to file a declaration of intent to sail to Grenada and to inform Port Authority in Tyrell Bay, Carriacou. I got all this information through trusty Noonsite.com which is our go to website for the latest advice and instructions for sailing destinations. Once we had the OK from Tyrell Bay Port Authority that we would be welcome we felt we could safely clear out.
Without any visiting cruise ships St Johns is a pleasant spot to stop. There is a large area to anchor to the south of the empty cruise docks and a new dinghy dock next to the Customs House.
David stayed with Jackster and I went in to do the paperwork. All went smoothly and I was back on board in thirty minutes and on our way out of St Johns soon after.
