I
get excited about taking delivery of a new washing machine. Delivery
to a boat is bit more tricky than putting the goods on a cart and
wheeling it into a house. Early
morning we took our dinghy over to
Hoodwinked with the guys lifting
the machine from their lazarette into our dinghy. David motors back
to Jackster without me and I follow in the in Hoodwinked's dinghy and
we reverse the dinghy to boat lift. Safely. Imagine the agony if we
had slipped and new machine had fallen in the water. But there were
no anxious momenta, delivery and installation went smoothly.

The last task was to take the old machine to the dump, but before David could get there a worker in the boatyard took it off his hands hopeful of being able to repair it. One persons rubbish is another's treasure. |
