The
order of the day was to get on a coat of Primacon and Jotunmastic on
the select areas that need it and to give it 6 hours to cure before
we do the first coat of antifoul. Stage one, the priming coats are
done by mid morning.applying Jotunmastic
While we've been doing this a very welcome email comes in to let us know our new head and main sails are finished and ready to ship. They've been made in the huge sail loft in Negombo, Sri Lanka to the design of Zoom Sails. Exciting stuff – they should arrive early next week when we're back in Port Louis Marina
David
fits the new Mastervolt CombiMaster. For once a task that was
relatively straight forward as the old and new are the same brand and
similar size it is one out, one in.Mastervolt charger/inverter
At 3.30pm, when it is a little cooler, we begin on the first coat of Jotun Seaforce 90. We begin at the bow on the shady side of the hull; David rolls down from waterline and I roll up from the keel to meet at the midway point. We have to work quickly because of the heat. Before the sun sets at 6 we are done. First coat complete and looking good.
We are scheduled to return our rental car tomorrow evening so I suggest a short drive to the Brewery for a pub supper. David agrees it is a wonderful idea!
