As dawn breaks we are 4 hours from our destination. The seas more uncomfortable as the cold front has advanced behind us. I fire up the single side band radio and check in with the Panama Connection Net giving our current position and ETA. They ask us to call the net host on the VHF when we are safely arrived.
We arrive and check in and old friends from Cartagena, Kerry and Andrew aboard Marioposa, hear and hail us. We join the in the swimming pool anchorage behind the reef in the eastern Hollandes Cays 30 hours and 180 miles since Rosarios. South African boat The Road with Shirley, Taffy, Colin and Rubbish their African Grey parrot 9and chum of David's) follow us in.
We rest for a couple of hours and then it's Monday night get together on Barbecue Island in front of us. Every Monday night all the boats in t he anchorage, tonight we're 12, meet on the beach at 5pm, bring your drinks and a plate of finger food to share. All very civlised and a nice way to meet our neighbours.
We're back onboard at 6.45pm and in bed by 8pm. Crazy (tired) night owls that we are. Not.
Another month and a half of updates to come. Where are you guys now? Heard from Bristol Rose that you were around PC a week ago so you must be in the Pacific.
