Sunday 17 October Pangai, Lifuka Island

The weather was overcast and squally in the morning, but in the afternoon the sun came out coinciding with high tide and good depth visibility allowed us to slip out through the protecting reef and head south to Lifuka Island and the town of Pangai ready for Customs clearance on Monday morning. The Tongan Customs require every boat to clear in and clear out of each island group. We did customs and immigration in Niuatoputapu, customs and immigration in Nieafu because we needed to extend our visitor visa from 30 days to 2 months, now customs in Pangai and we'll also have to check in in Nuku'alofa in Tongatapu. Patience and understanding are necessary virtues for a cruiser.
A treat this evening, Stuart on Imagine invited us and Jack (Anthem) for dinner and he cooked us a fiery Thai curry.
