It turns out Fiji is a crossroad in the middle of a big ocean, some are hurrying west to Australia for the summer cyclone season while people like us are taking a more leisurely time because we're returning to NZ. Not only Stray Kitty, we also said farewell to Tahina and Callisto. One of the rare downsides to cruising – wishing someone kind seas, fair winds and farewell.
The bigger upside is the new friends we make as we journey and the gleeful meetings with buddies we haven't seen for a while; we are especially looking forward to seeing once more Jackie and Gary (Inspiration Lady), Jack and Jan (Anthem) who left their boats in NZ this season and Chris and Dave (Chrisandavers Dream) who are crossing the Pacific on their way to NZ. The parties are going to be fun.
