Wednesday 24 August Errands

Although we moan about having to come in to harbour ports with their dirty water and urban grime they are useful as a one stop shop for filling up with diesel, petrol for the outboard, gas for cooking, food, cash, fish hooks and lures to replace the ones we fed to the fish, replacing or replenishing spares for the boat and the thing we can't do anywhere elsecustoms and immigration formalities. We cleared in on Monday – very quick and simple – and will clear out when we're ready to go on to Vanuatu. If the batteries are delivered on Monday and David is happy with the installation, we'll leave as soon as we have the weather to sail 500nm WSW.
