From
the sublime to the ridiculous. We felt having shown Amy and Andrew
the dramatic topography of Phuket it was time to turn the table and
show them the bottom-ography (lots of g-strings walking down the
street) of the island – Patong town, home of everything that is
cheesy and the worst part (we feel) of tourist Phuket. It's loud
and brash. One evening, dinner at the quiet(er) Sweet restaurant, a
walk down Bangla street to see the pole dancing bars, the
transvestites in their showgirl costumes and the seedy part of town
and it was time to get out of Dodge.
