Egg
Island is 30 miles east from Rose Island on the south west tip of the
Eluethera group of islands. It gave us good protection from the
gentle south easterlies and more flies on board than we could swat.
Such a shame as it is a beautiful spot with white beach and a lagoon
to explore with the kayak (too shallow for the dinghy). Sadly the
fly nuisance was greater than the desire to stay longer and we sailed
north to the Abacos.
