2 November 2009 Plan A becomes plan B

The forecast was for moderate to light winds today, decreasing as the week progresses. Our plan was to go to the Aves, 29 miles west, before carrying on to Bonaire, but the best laid plans etc get changed and we opted to push on and do the trip in one day. Mostly motor sailing in light winds and no fish on the line today. The seas were flat and we made good time arriving at 10pm. Unlike The Roques, Bonaire is where it's supposed to be on the electronic charts. It's well lit and and easy approach. Not so easy was locating small buoys in front of the town in the dark with the town lights behind. I was on helm, David on boat hook to retrieve and calling distance and direction back to me. Another safe docking
