The adventures and misadventures of Jacqui and David aboard Jackster; our mission to sail the world visiting as many places as possible

Wednesday, 17 March Islas Canas to Rio Cacique
At low tide we went exploring in the kayak. To the pristine empty beach and along to the rock pools just like when we were kids. Across the bay to the next island navigating rocks on the way in and investigating a dry river bed piled with tree trunks. Were they washed here by the sea or did they come down the stream in the last wet season? All too big to be comfortable to meet at sea. After lunch we moved around the headland to the next anchorage, Rio Cacique, River of the Chief. On the way we caught a 10lbs fish which we barbecued for dinner. Not sure what type is but is was delicious.
