Jackie and I made an early (7am) dash into town to pick up bread, 3 baguettes and 2 boules, and salad stuff from the market. The small market had a good selection of good quality and very fresh produce. For the first time in what seems like weeks I was able to buy tomatoes, lettuce and cucumber that weren't dry and shrivelled mush. Sane people, people in the regular world with supermarkets and M&S will be amused by enthusiasm for something so everyday as veg, but the simplest things light up our simple life.
Stocked with our goodies and caught up on internet we made the quick 5 mile trip along the coast Daniel's Bay.
Daniel's Bay is a hidden treasure. Hidden from the sea side, you head into a gap between a cliff and a rocky outcrop and lo, behind the outcrop is a big calm bay with a sparkling white beach. It was a wonderfully quiet night without a sound to disturb us.
