There's a fish restaurant on Bora Bora famous for it's food and for the famous clientele who've eaten there. We went in a group of 15; Inspiration Lady, Anthem, Bristol Rose, Callisto and Fidelis. The restaurant sent a minibus to pick us up. Good as it's 5 miles out of town. We got there and I automaticallyy shook the sand out of my shoes before going in to find it has a sand floor and a 'shoe check' at the entrance. Bloody Mary's is a simple place; wooden tables and uncomfoable wooden stools. There isn't a menu. In a display cabinet they have all the fresh fish laid out on ice and a lady explains how it's to be cooked on the grill and what sauce. You choose there and it's brought over. David and I did shared starters, tuna sashimi and crab in cream and white wine. Fantastic. For mains David had swordfish steak and I choose Moonfish (we think it's like the sunfish), soft, sweet meat like lobster.
There weren't any celebs in there tonigh, but the board outside boasted almost 100 names from Hollywood actors, musicians, the astronaut Buzz Aldrin, Rowan Atkinson, Warren Buffet, Jimmy Buffet and several at we went 'who'? Possibly they were well known to French people.
We met a boat named Fidelis in the Turks. Fella named Vince. Same boat?
