Three seasons in three days. Sunday hailed fine and not a breathe of wind. Our cunning plan was for everyone to go in Greg's cabin cruiser to a spot he said was good for lobsters. He, David and I were to dive as the allowance is 3 lobsters per diver with Gary in the dinghy as surface cover. Unfortunately Greg's engine wasn't working. Plan B all onto Jackster and tow Gary's dinghy.

On board for the adventure we had Greg and Anita and her son, John, and his girlfriend Kana. Jackie opted to stay home and enjoy some quiet time. It wasn't far to the dive site and we were soon ready to plop back into the water. For David and me this was a new dive environment; kelp covered rocky headland. These are long strands of kelp attached to the seabed and growing up to the surface. We were to look for our lobsters in the crevices. The lobsters were conspicuous by their absence. The fish were everywhere. One file fish was intrigued by his reflection in my mask and stayed with me for a long time.
After thirty minutes David had caught a pair of lobster antlers without the animal attached (it didn't want to leave it's hole) and Greg had five in his catch bag. I caught cold and got out early.
Back at base we cooked and shared a wonderful fresh lobster dinner. It's would be a tough call to find fresher or tastier booty. All organic and all hand picked.
