Friday 15 February Cutting the cord

one bridge and 3 miles to the ocean

one last glimpse of the city
Seven weeks after we arrived in Blackwattle we finally lifted our anchor to leave for the last time. This is the beginning of farewell to Sydney. It's been brilliant, wonderful. It's been emotional. I love this city because there is so much to do and it's easy to get around and with the bonus of Christmas, the Sydney Hobart, New Year's Eve, summer festival and Australia day, having been able to see our many friends who live here, or were passing through on business, it's been a fun packed seven weeks.
It's sad to go, but there's so much more to see, people to meet and miles to travel. We motored out past Darling harbour, under the bridge, said farewell to the Opera House and cruised towards the Heads and anchored off Balmoral Beach, a swanky north shore suburb, for the night.
