The
early part of the week has been spent on boat fixing jobs; Monday a
trip out on the bus to a large hardware / DIY shop for bits and then
we ordered a replacement freshwater or coolant circulation pump to
fix a slow leak and with the potential of a complete failure when
we're in Indonesia decided to do it now and not wait. It arrived
next day and David began the fitting this afternoon.
This
morning we had a second visit to the Maritime Museum in Darling
Harbour. A week ago we spent four hours on a 'see it all' ticket and
didn't have time to visit the main exhibition gallery, not a problem
as first Thursday of the month and the gallery is free entry. We
had another two hours to wander around and see the collection – a
particularly thought provoking account of the '98 Sydney Hobart race
which was struck by a storm which is something we aim to avoid. Of
course there were educational and fun exhibits too including a raft
made out of beer cans – only in Australia!
