Monday
was a public holiday for the Queen's birthday and we were confined to
food shopping as the chandlers and other boat bit shops were closed.
But this morning they were open and we had a shopping list of parts
required. To cover the distances faster we had our bikes and within
a couple of hours we had full back packs; an AIS antenna, hose
clamps, oil filters, stainless steel thread rod and four tins of DIY
beer kits, oh and a television. A good day for buying a bad day for
the flexible plastic.
The
TV is an inexpensive 21' LED slim model which runs off the onboard
12v. The plan is connect our hard drive with all the films stored and
watch on the bigger screen rather than strain to see the picture on a
laptop screen. That's the plan. However, the films are in
'unsupported format' which made David and I a bit disgruntled.
Tomorrow we'll go back to the TV shop and ask the knowledgeable
(English) salesman if we are doing anything wrong.
