It
was a good sail across Van Diemen Gulf and we arrived just as the sun
was setting yesterday evening. With two weeks before our anticipated
departure to Indonesia it should be a leisurely time.

Today
we took the bus from the Sailing club at Fannie Bay into the City, a
very pleasant small city and far more prosperous and modern than we'd
expected. Yes, it is warm and dry. We did some orientation this
morning and visited the Parliament house later. A very nice modern
building and a deliciously cool respite from the warm day and
international papers available in the library.
